Damage inspections at workshops are carried out by a supervisor. During the inspection, they inspect and take photos of the damage to your car. If you have submitted photos of the damage, our dedicated inspection team will review them carefully.
The damage inspection identifies what needs to be repaired, which parts are required, how long the work will take and what it will cost.
An on-site damage inspection at the repair shop takes around 15 minutes. It takes a few minutes to upload photos of the damage online. Once we have received the photos, we will contact you as soon as possible. Submit photos of the damage.
After the damage inspection, we will book a repair appointment for your car and send the necessary information to your insurance company. If you have reported the damage to your insurance company, you can often get a repair permit quickly from the insurance company.
Collision repairs
For your car to be repaired, it needs to undergo a damage inspection. During the damage inspection, we will determine what needs to be repaired and estimate what spare parts are needed, as well as the duration and cost of the work. After the inspection, we will send the information about the damage to the insurance company for repair approval. If you pay for the repair yourself, we will provide you with an estimate of the cost of the work.
You can always come to Autoklinikka for a damage inspection without an appointment or book an appointment online in advance. A damage inspection can also be carried out quickly online if you send us photos of the damage to your car. More information about damage inspections.

Minor dents (PDR)
Paintless dent repair (PDR) can be used to fix minor dents where the paint surface is intact and the area is accessible with specialised tools.
In PDR repairs, dents are manually straightened using a specially designed hook bar. The length of the tool is chosen based on the location of the dent, and the surface is worked with the hook until it is smooth again.
Typical PDR repairs involve small dents caused in car parks or dents no larger than an egg on the car’s side. Dents caused by natural events such as hailstorms, heavy snow or falling branches can often be repaired using the PDR method.
PDR is a fast, cost-effective and environmentally friendly repair method, as it requires no paint, energy or replacement parts. The same repair might take 2–3 days using conventional bodywork methods, whereas it can be completed it in under two hours using PDR.
PDR is a lower-cost and more environmentally friendly repair method than conventional bodywork methods, as it requires no paint, energy or replacement parts.
Getting a cost estimate to assess whether the damage to your car can be repaired using the PDR method is always free of charge. Contact us.
Not all damage is immediately visible. Some dents only become apparent once repairs begin. Deep dents may damage the paint surface, increasing the risk of rust.
Even minor, barely visible dents can reduce your car’s trade-in value if left unrepaired, and may become costly for the next owner, as insurance typically won’t cover pre-existing damage after a change of ownership.
Paintless dent repair is craftsmanship at its finest, and there are only a few PDR specialists in Finland.
Our specialists regularly visit Autoklinikka locations in the Helsinki metropolitan area, the Tampere Region and Turku to carry out repairs, but they are also available across Finland upon request. Bring your car to the nearest Autoklinikka, and we’ll assess whether the dent can be repaired using PDR. You can also submit photos of the damage on the Autoklinikka website. Car painting
In bright sunlight, even minor dents and surface imperfections stand out clearly on the vehicle’s paintwork. Exposed metal beneath the paintwork should be professionally repaired and painted as soon as possible. This helps to prevent rust from developing, spreading and resulting in more costly repairs.
Even minor dents and scratches can spoil your car’s appearance and lower its resale value.
If your car’s paintwork is damaged in an accident – such as a collision, bump or parking dent – and your insurance covers paint repairs, the repainting is free of charge.
If your insurance doesn’t cover the damage, you can request a quote for repair and paintwork. You can also come and show us your damaged car or request a cost estimate by submitting photos here.
All our car paintwork is carried out in full compliance with brand-specific instructions from paint suppliers and car manufacturers. Before we start painting your car, we carefully inspect the damaged surface and select the most suitable methods for painting it.
To ensure an exact colour match, we use a spectrophotometer, which is a professional colour measurement device.
The duration of paintwork repairs depends on the extent of the damage. It is also affected by the spare parts needed and the drying time required for the painted surface.
Autoklinikka’s paint shops are typically located alongside our repair centres, enabling a rapid and flexible painting process. We handle all the necessary transport using our paint shops’ towing equipment. Our central paint shops are open every day and work in several shifts. In the capital region alone, we paint almost three hundred cars a week.
Following paintwork after damage repair, the car should be handled with particular care for several weeks. Although the paint surface may appear dry, it is still continuing to dry and will reach full hardness only after several weeks.
Payment methods
We recommend card payment, but you can also pay in cash. We accept debit cards from all banks and credit cards issued by the bank (Mastercard and Visa). Unfortunately, we do not accept American Express and Diners Club credit cards.
We don’t offer invoice payment for private customers, but instalment options are available for added flexibility. For more information about invoicing, please contact us by email at laskutus@autoklinikka.fi.
